Prof. Michael Nilges
Michael Nilges is a Professor at Institute Pasteur. He is the head of the Pasteur unit structural bioinformatics and chairman of the structural biology and chemistry department. He is also the director of the EQUIPEX CACSICE (Center for the Analysis of Complex Systems in Complex Environment), a consortium for integrative structural with partners from four major Paris research institutions: the Institut Pasteur, the IBPC, and two Paris universities.
The structural bioinformatics unit is one of the leading groups worldwide developing approaches to integrate experimental data into molecular modeling. The Institut Pasteur hosts state of the art facilities for NMR, X-ray crystallography, electron cryomicroscopy (including a Titan Krios being installed), biophysics, and a computer cluster with several thousand nodes.
