Arno Thibau
Arno Thibau is a Belgian PhD-student (ESR6) who is employed in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. He holds a Master of Science in Biochemical Engineering Technology from Ghent University in Belgium. He works at the Goethe University Hospital Frankfurt in the Institute of Medical Microbiology and Infection Control under the supervision of Prof. Volkhard Kempf. His supervisory team consists of Prof. Dirk Linke, Dr. Sally A. Peyman, Dr. Carina Almeida and Prof. Paul Millner.
Arno will work with the trimeric autotransporter adhesin BadA from Bartonella henselae. His research interests focus on how this BadA-protein adheres to our human endothelial cells combining molecular biology, microbiology and protein engineering.
